Carpenter
Job Description:
A carpenter at Barberry Homes is responsible for conducting a wide variety of construction tasks on new residential construction and remodeling projects. This role requires an eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a strong work ethic. Carpenters are expected to take ownership of assigned construction activities and communicate with project stakeholders throughout the project. This is a year-round position that operates out of a central location; however, local travel to project sites daily is required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
A carpenter’s daily responsibilities may include:
Basic framing, drywall repairs, basic electrical/plumbing related tasks, finish carpentry
(setting cabinets, installing trim, installing stair systems), painting, installing hard flooring, installing tile, building privacy fences, operating a compact track loader, etc.
Providing project updates to stakeholders.
Responsible for daily project material pickup, and delivery to job sites.
Ensuring a safe and clean working conditions on the jobsite.

Education & Qualifications:
Proficient understanding of residential construction, dimensioning and equipment.
3-5+ years’ experience in residential single-family construction, or related field.
It is preferred that carpenter will provide their own basic carpentry tools.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction specifications and drawings.
Osha 10 certification preferred.
1-2 years’ equipment operation experience preferred.
References are requested.
